Roof moss is not only unsightly, but is adds additional weight to the roof and can fall into the gutter, blocking them and causing further damage to the structure of a building. It can also cause damage to roof tiles and cement joints, as any moisture held within the moss will expand as it freezes.
Moss removal is a manual task, and means using trowels and stiff brushes. Against what some may say, jet washing a roof is not recommended as it damages the roof and is almost guaranteed to drive water into the roof space.
Once we have cleared the moss, we apply a specialist algiecide to the roof which kills-off any remaining roots or spores, and stops any re-growth.
